Christmas 2006 – Broomball
This year from work about 18 of us went to local ice skating rink for a game of Broom Ball. This is a bit like ice hockey but played in trainers and instead of a hockey stick you get a 5 foot long stick with a plastic paddle on the end. The ball is about half the size of a regular soccer ball.
It all looked a bit energetic for me so I decided that I would go in goal and, despite me conceded 6 goals; we won 7 goals to 6.

The Hague
Last weekend I was in The Hague visiting Geoff and Fin. I used to share a house with Geoff in Dublin a few years ago. He has been working in Europe for the last few years and currently works for Shell and lives in The Hague with his girlfriend - Fin.
I was there for a few days in the summer and met Do and his wife Karla. Do gave me a tour of the old town stopping off at a few bars along the way.
These pictures are taken in a bar called De Passe which is a 5 minute walk from Geoff’s apartment. They were taken on the Sunday afternoon and I’m glad I took them as they remind me that I was actually there.

This is Geoff relaxing.
The Great Shark Hunt

In the summer I was on a stag do in Brighton. On the sunday morning after coffee and burgers for breakfast we went fishing ten miles out at sea. We had mixed success, I think just about everybody caught a fish but nobody caught more than two which is not much really as we were out there for 6 hours or so.
Somebody caught a ray which was allegedly the most impressive catch of the day.
I, however, believe that the monster killer shark that I caught was far more impressive.
Christmas party 15 December 2006
Last night was our Christmas booze up in Bar Ha Ha in Reading. My self, Aussie Sean, Dave and Michael headed there tempted by the free bar. When we got there we realised that we didn't actually know anybody so I used my charm, sophistication and wit (and several sambucca chases) to intoduce us to the lovely Pippa and Rachael.Somebody told me this morning that Rachael is a neuro scientist or something. Blimey! Anyway, here are some pictures.
