The Lyndhurst Cheesoff (Update)
After some discussion last night it was decided that a competitor will be allowed to enter a back up cheese but every type of cheese entered will be subject to the £5 entry fee.
Each piece of cheese entered must be at least big enough to provide 20 chunks.

The Lyndhurst Cheesoff
On Monday I received the following text from Ian the builder –
The Lyndhurst proudly presents a cheesoff this Sunday at 3pm.
Bring your fave cheese, crackers and a fiver for the winners pot.
PS. Keep your cheese top secret!
So, basically, at 3pm we have to go to The Lyndhurst with our favourite cheese and a fiver. After the (anonymous) tasting the person with the most votes for best cheese wins the pot and then we all drink loads of beer.
I’ll post some pictures of the cheeseoff next week.

The Sunday after Bath
I was in so much pain when I woke up on Sunday That I can’t begin to describe it. I finally rolled out of bed and after a few text messages arranged to meet Sean and Lisa Luscious for lunch. We met in the Three Guineas at 2pm, had a pint and caught a cab up to The Griffin in Caversham for steaks and being outnumbered by Aussies I agreed to get on the Aussie wine.
It ended many hours (and many bottles) later with a peculiar taxi ride home and just the last three days had turned into one more lost weekend.

Bath V Montpellier
Bath V Montpellier
With nothing better to do Saturday Sean and I caught the 10.30am train from Reading to Bath to get out in the fresh air and enjoy a bit of live rugby at The Recreation Ground where Bath played Montpellier in The Heineken Challenge Cup. The final score was a convincing and easy enough 42 – 17 to Bath and with the French scoring a couple of soft tries in the last few minutes even this score makes the game look closer than it actually was.

Asia
On Thursday 27th April 2006 we went to Wroclaw for my 40th birthday. I know I only look 26 but believe me, it was my 40th. We toured the art galleries and museums and spent hours just looking at the architecture of the town. On the way back to the hotel we would stop off at The John Bull Pub for a half pint of the local beer.
One afternoon here we met Asia (pronounced Asha.) Asia was born in Wielen on April 19th. When we first met her she was a student and after passing all her exams she went back to university, it looks like she will be a life long student and there is nothing wrong with that.
As you can see in the pictures Asia has wonderful blue eyes, some would say the best blue eyes in Poland but the truth is that her mother has the best blue eyes in Poland, followed by her brother and Asia is only joint third along with her sister.

We are going back to Wroclaw next month but I think it will be too cold to spend all day outside looking at the buildings so maybe we will have to spend more time in the bar where we will see more of Asia and her friends, probably drinking vodka and cherries.
I do have to add though that Asia does make the best Scrambled Eggs.
